KWR-639 is a rutile titanium dioxide produced by sulfuric acid process and inorganically surface treated with alumina. It is designed for masterbatch and polymer applications. KWR-639 is easily dispersed in polyolefins and has little effect on the melt flow index, so even a masterbatch with high TiO2 concentration can produce films with high hiding power and high whiteness. KWR-639 is recommended for plastic applications where high thermal stability is required. Its surface is designed to be hydrophobic, which prevents the pigment from absorbing moisture from the air.
